Membership Clarification

Hello everyone! Hope you all had a great Thanksgiving over the past week.

I am afraid my last message may have confused a few of you, therefore I wanted to clarify to everyone in regards to membership status.

With our amazing new website, you are able to sign up on our website and create a profile if you are a PNP, FNP, or other type of NP.  This is to help you navigate the NP world, get to know our organization, assist you with networking, and keep you aware of all of our Chapter's news and activities.

However, you are not a Chapter member unless you have ALSO applied for and paid for NAPNAP membership through National NAPNAP. The link is listed on the main page of our website on the L hand side under "Membership/join now".  That links you to National NAPNAP so that you can apply and pay them directly.  When you fill out your application, it asks you to choose a chapter.  We hope you then choose our Colorado Rocky Mountain Chapter on the application at that time.  Each month the national organization sends us a list of current members (including new ones that applied that month).  The most up to date list is as of September 2012.  Therefore if you signed up and paid during the month of Oct or Nov, I am not yet aware, but you are a member.  If you attend an event, such as the upcoming dinner on Dec 5th, and you are NOT a current paid member, the fee will be $15.  If you are a member as of Oct or Nov, just let me know at the dinner and that is fine.  Current paid members enter the event for FREE!  There are 6 seats remaining at the dinner, so if you plan on joining us next week, please visit the site and RSVP under the events section:) Hope to see you there!
